32-year-old actor mostly known for his role as James T. Kirk from Star Trek movie and its sequel has been sporty enough to land on the cover of Men’s Health June 2013 issue. Looking at this macho guy it is hard to imagine that he was not that tough during his childhood and especially his high school years. In the accompanying interview he reveals that he was really shy during this hard time of his life:
Just looking at a girl felt awkward. When you feel like an oddball, it never really leaves you. Even now, I’m better around people who are uncomfortable with themselves, the misfits.

That is quite a confession from a handsome guy like Pine. He worked hard to be fit in the new role of a popular guy, as he shares his thoughts on sport and working out in general:
I work out because that’s my job. What I enjoy about it, beyond the vanity, is the Zen of it. I like getting out of my head: One great way is to sweat your face off. I appreciate that if you’re thinking of anything else, you’re not working intensely enough.
Of course he has changed since high school and his Hollywood career has shaped his current views, but he didn’t abandon his sensitive side. He confessed that he cooks for his girlfriend and is not afraid to cry. During the work on one of the movies, the Princess Diaries he said that he would get so emotional that he would cry. Well, that is something unusual, a tough guy like Chris, being romantic and sensitive!
